    getting a cam upgrade & conversion to hydraulic tensioners done in about a week but had been planning on cutting this fucker open on next oil change.  glad im getting this sorted very soon.

    how many klms the bike has done , & what type & grade of oil used,  i have 1 fellow has dome 80,000 klm on his stocker but doe's not give her a hard time & most klms are hwy etc but i use in his bike Penrite ENDURO  25/70 w  have taken off the cam cover twice for inspections  40000 & @ 60000 still good , but on the other hand this other owners bike has 12000klms on his clock  mostly on stock Harley 20/50w oil  & his is 1/3 worn out mostly  a city bike

    I did the SE Cam plate/Hydraulic tensioner upgrade on my 2005 Heritage @ 56,000k's. No sign of any damage to the old tensioners, I've been using HD Syn 3 for every service.

    thats not real good for 32000klms sorry to see that if used in hot weather i do not think 20/50 w oil is good enough i do not even stock any 20/50 here @ all  esp on Dyna 's with there small oil bag under the g/box  cops a lot of heat of the box  as-well of the tarmac

    I did the cam plate upgrade and adjusters at 53000km old adjusters were still good have used 20w50 since new still using it no issues

    tensioner upgrade complete & a set of andrews 37's in.   sounds very nice & pulls a bit harder too.  here is a pic ando took of one of my old tensioners when he did the upgrade for me.  some of the stuff i have read says that once they start pitting they really start to break up fast.  looks like just in time.
