I wear kevlar jeans most of the time, but sometimes around town i will wear shorts and boots. I all ways put my right foot down when i stop . so no heat on the left leg.

What pisses me is that as a taxpayer I have to foot the hospital and rehab bills fir the loosers who think shorts and sand kes are 'safety gear'.

Make them pay 100% of the costs the lazy bastards.

Damn, My jeans generally burn before my legs.
Bought a pair of those Aldi Kevlar jeans and they lasted 15 minutes. They were REAL baggie.
My other 2 pair have holes on the inside right leg from getting too close.
I generally wear Tight legged jeans now.

Did the Adelaide toy run yesterday. Picture this: Shiny new cruiser with male rider dressed in proper boots, jeans (Kevlar?), dririder jacket, gloves and full face helmet. No sissy bar, 8-12 year old girl on the back (presume his daughter) wearing thongs, shorts, t-shirt, no gloves and an adult size open face helmet. Traveling in a tight group of other bikes at 110km/hr. I presume he just bought the bike and all the safety gear for himself and it was a last minute decision to throw the daughter on the back. It wasn't the only example we saw, but definitely the most reckless.

i have read stupider threads than this one but i must admit its up there with the best of them. who started it? crook! try wrapping some aluminium foil around your legs. they might get a bit sweaty but aluminium has surprisingly high abrasion resistance. it might give you a little peace of mind next time you go for a ride on a hot day.

Maybe exhaust wrap around the calf area..........? it comes in different colours as well.

Exhaust wrap is for wimps and girls!

Burt Munro did not need any leg coverings in the "The Worlds Fastest Indian", so take his lead!

Well fuck me... I reckon it was a reasonable question from a newbie that can't ride his FXST in shorts. (lets not start that all over again)
I can't help it if everyone else finds it the most riveting thread on the forum and keeps contributing.
