Mobil 1's the go, by the way Harley Synthetic isn't 100% synthetic Oil, it's a Synthetic / Mineral mix.

+1....I do not care what anyone says! Gearboxes get Gear Oil, not engine oil. Use whatever brand you like, but use Gear Oil, as it's chemically designed for the high impact loads in a transmission. Engine oil and Gear oil are like chalk and cheese when it comes to function and makeup.

    Hi,

Yeah try the gear oil, i was using Nulon Smooth Shift 80w-90 and changed to Nulon 85w-140 and its even slightly better than the 80w-90

    Thanks

no right or wrong answer, we all have our own ideas

Red Line heavy or medium shock proof in the box. The only issue I see with this stuff is if you ever want to change it, it can be a prick to drain out
Spectro Golden gear lube in the primary, the clutch doesn't like much else other than BellRay
    Torco mineral in the motor

+1 on running cooler. my dealer used synthetic oil in my switchy during my last service and I've noticed I don't feel the engine heat as much as I used to.

I dropped the Redline heavy duty shockproof in last change, very noticable difference. Bloody expensive though.

Something doesn't seem right about putting engine oil in a gearbox.

Strawberry thickshake in g-box. Definitely smoother and quieter in Tigger.

Valvoline ATF type F in primary, slow lever release gives a smooth, easy take off.
Give it more revs and a quicker release, the plates seem to bite together quicker for a less slippy launch. Almost feels like a 2 stage clutch, Anyone else notice this. (i have the SE diaphragm spring in).

Mineral (dino)? oil in engine but going Mobil 1 V twin soon when i win lotto? ha
