Gday guys, being new to Harleys myself im sort of having a bit of a problem on what year parts i need to order for my bike..You see on my manufacturing plate my Street glide was built on the 11th of 07 but according to the vin number its showing its an 08 model..Now ive been told and shown that the throttle by wire didnt come out until 08 but my 07 has it fitted from the factory so you see im lost as to which date i should use when fitting after market parts, do i get 07 or 08 parts..I hope someone can guide me on this cos im lost atm and im hoping i didnt just throw my money down the drain buying the wrong year aftermarket parts from the States...thanks..Dave.

Sounds like it's a Year Model '08, built at the end of '07.

it's an 08, anything after August is for the next model year.

thanks very much guys, ive learnt something already..so thats enough for this year im full.....2008 was the first year for DBW and ive just ordered a 2007 Vance and Hines VO2 air filter unit so i hope it will fit, i cant see why it should be different, does anyone know any difference???and a rider backrest but i should get away with that...i think they were pretty much the same bike from 06 to 09 with a few small changes like the DBW but i could be wrong...Dave
