for those that have a gauge or tuner module that monitor's engine temp, that would be Head Temp, what are your general readings?
 
Anything over 80kmph I generally see head temps around 140c under 80 in traffic it can climb to 160-165, I do turn it off if I am at a long set of lights on a hot day as I know it will just keep climbing.
Not sure what a stock bike would be but both 124 and 106 have been high. I thought on the 106 it was compression but the 124 is the same compression but has some engineering that should have made a difference.

According to the yanks I am on the brink of disaster but a stock bike has the EMITS set to come on at 170 and off at 165, that would suggest the MoCo are prepared for it to sit in that 165 -170 range at least for a short while.

 

For the technically experienced exactly what part of the head is the sensor targeted at? or is it general heat sink
 

Did some Vtuning today on a Cousins bike and even putting around town in closed loop only seen 245 f ( 118c) I couldn't get it any Hotter
my 11.2;1 comp, 120r only see's the same temp as well and the recent 10.5 comp 107 I did only reached 100c on the dyno, the operator said it was a cool motor

Dyno runs I think would be cooler due to the size of the fan in the room

Fark thats getting hot

Just went for a run to talk with the tuner, go it in a week earlier but thats still 3 weeks away. He thinks it has to be fuel but only guessing till we can check it properly.
I shouldn't ride it like this but I wanted to check it.
Was about 90 when I got on the free way, after about 15k's it's steady at 137, into the tunnel both tunnels I think is about 10km's set on cruise at 80kmph in 5th and did not follow any cars. 148 coming out
