07 electraglide inner primary bearing install?

Had a drivetrain bearing noise for some time, eliminated wheel bearings, drive belt etc, am now replacing inner primary bearing, not clutch bearing.

I'm reading lots of posts on various sites about about this topic, clearly HD saw some reason to change the design of this bearing, as the 06> models are different to all previous bearings used.

'The new bearing appears different to the old bearing, any clues on which way it should be installed, wide face of the bearing into the housing or out to the seal?

Another issue would be the oil drilling in the upper (starter) aspect of the primary bearing bore, designed to lube the outer (seal) side of the bearing? Possibly to address earlier bearing lube issue?

Also, could the primary chain auto tensioner overtension the primary chain, in turn overloading this bearing and causing the drivetrain noise?

I've been using Tyco Synthetic oils in this bike since I bought it 3 years and 30,000kays ago, changing eng. oils @ 5000kays, trans & primary every 10k.

    Any clues?
