2006 Wideglide EFI 1450

    Hi guys, I am thinking about buying this bike with only 5,400 ks, can anyone advise me on any problems or things to look out for on this bike? I will be looking at bike tomorrow (21Nov). Am I right in assuming this was the last year before the twin cam was introduced ? When did EFI replace carbies on this model. Thanks for any help. Jack

    Lad,
    I have a 2006 Dyna Lowrider.
    1450 with 6 speed box.
    It had 123,000 Klm's on it with very little trouble, just standard maintenance items.

    Just took the motor out and repleced with a 103 with 3800 K's up on it.
    Didn't have to as was riding fine, I just wanted some more goey and the stars aligned with buying the motor etc.

    Still riding it as often as I can.

    May be inherent issues but I certainly havn't found any, I don't ride like a goose (all the time) but she would pull and cruise at 140+ no worries.

    Got a 2006 WideGlide here-import with 28th klm on it. Had to get HD to replace rubber engine mounts and have a SE Tuner installed. Heard horror stories about the stator etc but its only a weekend toy and I don't ride it hard. Great looking bike with heaps of grunt.

    Thanks for your replies and advice guys, but decided to get a 2008 Softail, so watch this space !!!
