2014 exhaust options

So it seems at this point in time, I have two options for 2014 models:  VH Shorties, or Samson Shorties.  Not much of a choice haha.  Apart from slip-ons, which I don't want to do.

Everything else seems to be months off.

Anyone know of any other pipes that fit the 2014 models?  I'm on the hunt for a 2-1, but nothing there.  The Bobcat, RSD Tracker and Slant, Freedom American Outlaw....none fit.

Not entirely sure, but every manufacturer out there is saying their current pipes that fit 2013s don't fit 2014s.

OK, so update from the dealer. The reason no 2013 or earlier pipes fit is due to the introduction of ABS brakes as standard on all sporties. As a result, all the mounting points have changed, and the pipes no longer fit.

Argh! Damn you Harley! One change ruins everything! Haha.

Correction. New 12mm oxygen sensor has been added, forcing a new mounting panel design for the 2014s.

ConR beat me to it. You might find that most pipes will fit using oxy sensor adaptor plugs.

I spoke to somebody about exhaust options for the 2014's and have confirmed that the pipes will be different. Reasons are :

    Oxy sensors

    ABS  fitted to bikes

The ABS will be in the way and different bracket will be needed, pipes will also be differernt ( sit out a little more for clearance apparently)

Also the front rotors are larger....along with a heap of other little differances.

Yeah I echo that. Have spoken to every company I can think of that makes pipes. Samson, VH, Freedom, Bassani, Supertrapp. Apart from slip-ons, VH is the ONLY company that makes a set that works on the 2014s, and even then, only the short shots model works. Nothing else.

Everyone else is a couple months off releasing anything still.

Harley stayed very static for a long time whith their bikes which made it easy for aftermarket manafacturers to make parts for Harley motorcycles.

But over the last few years there seems to be a trend to change things more often with newer models.

Probably a market ploy by Harley to upset the aftermarket guys, in turn owners will purchase more Genuine Harley parts. Just my view on the matter.

According to Samson, they're exhausts fit the new 2014 models. They emailed me back. I find that a bit odd, unless they've reworked them all to fit.

For eg, their website says the Legend Sweepers fit 2004-2014 models. How can that be?
