got 52 kms on it this arvo, I think it is gonna be nice but this running in method from S&S sucks big time

got a few minor things to do, adjust clutch, bars need dropping back and may tighten the push rods 1/2 a turn

usually I have the bike booked in for tune a week after I light it up but this time I am going to follow S&S instruction for 1000km's. Something to do with the rings they use apparently. I have read of a few S&S motors going to the dyno with in a few 100 k's but I just want to see how this pans out.
    4 weeks should be enough

another 70ks on it this morning, still staying under 3000rpm which is pissing me right off. It feels like it is really strong but at that little % of throttle opening I might just be hoping it is.
Fixed the stupid buzzing in the stereo and got the HIDS lined up now that I replaced the piece of shit Harley plastic retainer for the head light alignment.
Only things left to do is change the compensator over which I will leave for a week or 2 and ride it.

Very nice max she should rip the tyre to shreads when you get on the gas. Interested to see the numbers when fred does his magic with the tune. If its too loud you can add a supertrapp can or run a trapp baffle system like I run on my bassani road rage.

yep Fred will sort it. It's not that wild so I think early 130's is about it, which is plenty enough for me in a tourer.
Will not be changing this exhaust but may need to get Peter to take another look at the baffle. On very lite cruse it is fine problem is that throttle position isn't used to much,
Now if the clouds would just fuck off I can get out on it again

Hope you get a shock with the numbers as you have some off the best parts in your 124 engine. Its going to fly when you pull the trigger so tell the misses to hang on tight or get a corbin seat with a couple of back rests to hold you and the cook on the bike.

Got a back rest for the Mrs, she weighs all of 48kg so should take away from the bike performance to much.

well this bike officially hates me. Out for a run this morning up mt nebo and mt glorious way having a great time. Everything spot on running smooth and strong, suspension working really nice. I decide I will pull over and have a smoke. Go to start it up bam straight to 4000rpm. Stuffed around with it as best I could but no joy, checked the errors and heaps to do with throttle position sensor etc. 2 1/2 hrs latter here is Mr Harley Assist truck.

At least 100 bikes went by and only one gave a wave, not one even looked like he was stopping. Must be the new association laws I reckon.

Harley Roadside Assist Truck back to home. Pulled it all to bits and tried a different throttle body. Seemed to be the FBW connection in the fairing but I don't trust it so will take it in this week. No beep when the ecu starts up or turns off but the indicators still flash. Red key always on and ABS light always on so seems like there are a few electronic issues to resolve.
But fuck it was nice to ride

another 220km on it today just over 600 now and it all seems to be settling down. Only error now is the ABS light stays on.
Feels quite good other than a little twitchy in the throttle, bumps are a bitch especially in corners, may have to try to play around with the throttle position progression in the map but never done it before so who knows how that works.

ABS, is the bearing in the correct side, on the new wheel.

yes mate and it's the correct side out. I have had both wheels off, completely changed the front wheel and had all the brakes apart. It could be the sensors or anything. Not really an issue but have it booked in next Tuesday for them to have a look.
I am just happy I seem to have sorted the throttle issue, that gave me a bit of a shock. Lucky I had set the rev limiter low
