    G'day,

Rides a much modified HD spent many years on the road too may to remember, what a life it is, "so many roads so little time"  would not have missed  it for quids.

Its good to hear from the newbies I remember when I got my first HD farkit it was like Christmas when-ever it was parked there was a crowd with a story about the one they rode in the war knocking the box heads over.

When we parked-up it was an array of yank and pommie bikes the like would make you cream your jeans today.

The clubs were for hard men total respect for themselves  women and  children, no white power, no drugs and no Nike's.

It was great to see the the rides with a swag or a tarp on each bike carrying all they required for a weeks ride, up north the cattle boys would be waiting for a blue in the pub, the cry would go-up, "hit anything with a cowboy hat " and they in return they would hit anything with a beard. Next day it was the BBQ the hats brought the meat the beards the piss.

Well its over now like all things good and bad its passed, the grey beards are dinosaurs  the bikies wear bling, the cowboys have helicopters

But I don't care every time I flip the starter put my feet on the pegs I still hear them

they're out there, trust me............Ride safe Apatchie

These days at fourty something I am certainly old enough to be called an old bastard regularly my self!

Life is a state of mind. Welcome to the forum. Feel free to bestow your wisdom upon us

Welcome Apatchie.... nice intro.... I'm an old bastard that has done the transition from cowboy to rider  but I was still somewhat wet behind the ears in relation to the situations you relate to..... still like to swing my leg over a horse as much as I do over the hawg!!! Grew up in one of the best parts of Oz.
