Hi all forum feeders, me again. Well, as i was putting Tigger back together again, i noticed a small patch of oil on the ground from under the LHS pipe area. "whats this" I asked myself. "Well bugger me" I said to myself upon finding out the oil was dripping from the LHS shock absorber. Now i have'nt been on a ride for the past 2 weeks as the exhaust was off. So it looks like i will be visting MR dealer to sort out a new shock. Yep, The Ultra is still under warranty.

    Anyone else had this happen?

See, I told you it was shocking.........And i found a screw in the rear tyre............Dam dam bloody shit. Bye all. FLHumanTChU.

I would not use a plug on a sportsbike doing 300km/h , but I have used them on car tyres and a previous bike . I know it looks a bit rough when ya ream the tyre with that tool , but I,ve never had one leak . Harley make a small compressor that plugs into the charger lead , and combined with a puncture kit , makes for peace of mind while travelling the country .

used plenty of them before with todays glues and plugs they are very good I would use a plug not in a side wall though , I do agree safety first
but I cant afford to waste good tyres with decent tread so depending on the circumstances plug or tube for me

Sorry all for the late reply. I haven't removed the screw yet to see if in fact it has gone far enough into the tyre to cause deflation, as it was still holding pressure. Tigger is in the shop ATM getting the new shock under warranty, and a couple of other issues done whilst there. The H-D workshop don't plug tyres (no surprise there).
I will take it to a reputable shop that does fit plugs and remove the screw then, and see how long it is and if the tyre goes down. Fingers crossed.
It has 8000ks on it and still is less than half worn. BTW, the offending little Philips headed helical fixing device is just left of the mid line of the black vulcanized radial gripping apparatus! not in the side wall. Cheers Hutch.

cheers mate but sadly not the one. It was orange or red had a top box and was asking should the box stay or go with the solo seat. I said it should go. Just after info on how the solo seats feel after a while and see how they look.

Fl that seat isn't much different to the stock seat now I have had a good look.
It was your thread I was looking for but was about "Top Box or Not" don't know why I thought it was about solo seats
