Hi ther forum buddies, Well as some of you know i have been playing with Tiggers pipes,  and upon removing active exhaust flapper drive unit from under the abs system, i wondered about just taping up the plug. But i found out that behind the unit once it is removed, there is a recepticle moulded into the side of the battery box that fits the AEV plug. So there you go folks. If you remove the AEV unit from the bike entirely ( not just the cable off the flapper), you can insert the plug into the purpose built recepticle.

AND make sure you check your tyres for nails/screws etc before you go for a ride. When i was looking under the beasty, i found a small screw in the rear tyre. Bit of a bugger if i was out in the sticks and it went flat. Always good practice to check before each ride anyways........See ya's. Hutch-a-Pitchu.

Active Exhaust Valve. You know the flapper thing in the pipe..
On the tourers it unbolts from under the right hand side plastic side cover.
