Well clearly the issue here is the publican, not the law.

The publican could have chosen not to serve them anyway. There are all sorts of laws that prevent getting service. Pubs too full, you don't get served. You're too full, you don't get served. Publican doesn't like the look of you, you don't get served.

You can either whine about it over the interwebs, or you can go to a different pub.

was told today that a small pub out of the way in the south east was advised by our elected representatives or their staff that the upcoming event involving those of motorcycle preferences should be canned. Apparently it wouldn't be good for him to be seen as a friend of such folk

We need a thread that identifies any establishment that is "Not biker worthy"

This is what all the hype is doing, fucktards like that publican cant tell the difference between a patch or his own puckered freckle. Doesnt deserve any of us spending money in his shitty pub.

Yes and No....Any Publican worth his salt should be able to tell an outlaw from a HOG member for example...they must see enough of them over the course of time.

What i would like to understand is what is the law regarding a Publican kicking you out for no reason!

Yeah, you are most probably right. He could of been worried about getting fined.
Still, you would think he would check first.
Vietnam Vets being kicked out of a pub on Anzac day though. That stinks of UnAustraliaism no matter what the consequences.

    Hi,

how are basic rights being eroded? The new legislation is to target criminal organisations, CRIMINAL

I not sure if the 26 criminal organisations that have been spoken about in the media have actually been declared and its difficult to find specific information on that

All participants of those criminal organisations probably have a chance to "leave" and ride there bike if they want to, or if they havent been declared to rethink there choices in life

    thanks

Its almost as if both parties in this publicans decision had some form of 'rights' eroded... the visiting riders 'right' to spend money on a product in an establishment constructed for that purpose....AND.... the publicans 'right' to earn a living by catering to those customers.... Its a bit like the Apartheid Law in South Africa in the 60's-70's, Black Sth Africans were refused service in many establishments because of discrimitory Laws.....until international pressure forced change....its notable how close those laws resemble this version of apartheid.

An extremely well trained eye indeed , you reckon ?

But , Wouldn't it be the person doing the targeting that is the poor ' mistaken fool in that case ?
I can't believe riding a HD and wearing a beard or black clothes boots or helmet by pure freedom of choice is now all of a sudden considered a crime or qualifies someone as ' being a patched up wannabe or hoggie , running around playing 1%er lookalikes , in some small narrow minded mistaken people's judge'mental heads maybe  , but what , if anyone even cares , does or should a HD motorcycle rider look or dress like chinashop 'bull , so unwarranted presumption of guilt , discrimination and profiling is quite ok though , Ok , apparently Jesus had a beard , and what's more , some cunts like to act and sound like they are some sort of better class of human or even try hard Gestapo know all storm trooper wannabe' fuckwits too hey ?

Darke Peak , but you obviously seem content to sit with your Ducati club , making paranoid assumptions , presumptions and being judgemental of others , but were they even warranted , didn't cross your minds that they were just out doing exactly what ' your club , group of friends or associates were doing ?

You feel so enlightened , enough to offer Buddhist history lessons for all the ' obviously less educated , less travelled or enlightened even though Thailand wasn't even around 2000yrs ago , and even go as far to offer advice to the respected VVMC who were apparently recently raided to boot , about changing their patch , although you seem to know it all , you are actually kidding right ?

Seriously wouldn't it be more logical for the law makers not to rush new poorly thought out laws through ,  to release any new hotel rules clearly , making sure that all licencee's are aware of the precise laws and listing the declared clubs or any rules regarding colours on the premises , so they could then arrange appropriate street signage and be able to communicate the written rules if need be and also make a clear definition between a club that is declared or not , or whether any colours of any sort are allowed or not , just to be absolutely clear on it ?

May save a hell of a lot of arguments , confussion and possible misguided presumptions !

Never heard of such un Australian bullshit really !

    Just sayin'

    Hi,

Prove they not an associate of a criminal organisation, this law is about appropriate penalties for people who commit crimes

Whats wrong with that? Or people happy to have there son or daughter get a gram of whizz of the local dealer each weekend, party for 48hrs, then get home to mums house, trash the place, rob the 80yr old up the road who they grew up with and baked them shortbread for christmas

Life can be simple for many, dont commit crime up in QLD

    Thanks

    Hi,

Many are sick of seeing people get nothing for crimes and if these laws put people away properley then so be it,

You know the penalty, dont commit the crime, when you visit overseas countries you are aware of the penalties no big deal if harder penalties come our way, gladly pay extra tax to see scum locked up

People are let out on parole time and time again, many lives are lost because of it and mandatory sentencing be great

    Thanks
