After a quick chat with JJ from Griffin Cycles a couple of weeks ago, I placed an order with him for new bars and cables.  I hadn't heard anything from them for over a week so last Friday I sent him a text for an update.  He replied saying that he would give me an update later that day.  However, I got no update.  I then texted him again yesterday with no reply.  It's been over 2 weeks now since I placed my order and I still don't have any update.

i know from a locked thread on this site that they're only a new business, but just wanted to see if anyone has ordered anything through them lately.  Because I haven't had any updates, I'm starting to think that I've done my dough.

I have just recently placed an order with them and have had no problems. Received my bars/clamps etc in around 3 weeks from order (expected time from US) and now just waiting on seat but JJ did advise there was a bit of a delay on this and should arrive next week

They have been prompt with my questions/requests. The only delay was when i continued changing my order in quick succession early on ( he probably didnt know what i actually wanted) but all good since then

Now if only i had the money to order all the parts I want!!

OK. That's good to hear. I don't mind if it takes a bit longer, I just want the communication so I know what's going on.

I just today recieved a set of Chubby bars from them...Would have been a bit quicker from M&M direct but JJ was a little cheaper...Not much by the time taxes etc. are added but every little bit helps...

I've bought several things from JJ and the service has been excellent. JJ sources his parts from all different suppliers hence the delays sometime I think

He can pass on some good savings thru bringing stuff over weekly with bulk shipping. He would have to collate several orders at a time to do this.  It's a matter of wanting it now and paying a lot in airfreight, or being patient and waiting a couple of weeks to save several bucks..Your order may not be sent for several days as the bulk shipment is built up with lots of orders....as in any other business importing stuff.   JJ is a very straight forward guy and usually does respond to emails.

I ordered my bars on the 22/10...Arrived today...JJ kept me informed and all is good,and it is also good to see someone having a go...

Agree with Beagle. A lot of importers cant get the price for you as far as random orders go.
They have to get a bulk price.
Hence the extra time and this is a random thing. You might be at the beginning of the order or you might be at the end.
End is better re time of course.

Just wanted to let everyone know that my bars arrived today. Managed to save a few dollars, so I won't hesitate to use Griffin again as long as the price is right.
