    A post from facebook..

    Wayne Nunn

Gday Ladies and Gents, the Freedom Ride is scheduled to take place on the 1st of December. It will start from the Eureka Stockade in Ballarat at 8am and proceed to Parliament House in Melbourne. It would be great to get as many as possible on this ride but of course If you're not up for that the main thing is to make it to Parliament House for 10am. It is worth noting that this is NOT A PROTEST, rather it is called a "Freedom Ride" to show the media and the public that we are ordinary Australians who share the passion, joy and freedom that riding a motorcycle adds to our lives. We are overwhelmingly law abiding citizens who happen to ride motorcycles as our chosen form of transport (and because it's FUN of course)!! Something like this is aimed to attract media attention and to give us a chance to say how much we dislike the treatment (harassment) of our fellow riders in Queensland due to the unfair legislation aimed at policing a very small minority of lawbreakers. I urge you all to make the effort to support this initiative and to show a united front in an effort to stop this blatant discrimination for the sake of ALL riders in this great country we live in.

Bendigo is starting early (and going the wrong way via Heathcote instead of via the Calder).

I think I'll ride 3 times as far to the St. Kilda start point and still be getting out of bed later than if I went to my closest start point.

Another dilemma is where to ride when it finishes at 11am...

We ended up waiting at the Bacchus Marsh exit on the western freeway and joined (what we thought) was the ride from eureka, the guys turned out to be the Vikings MC (thx for letting us tag along)

Was a good turn out in melb today, many riders and a good attitude...

A little vid I took to show some of the numbers involved (didn`t have a very good camera)

A shame the news headed it as "bikies protest" instead of riders or bikers....and they didn`t say at all what the particulars of the new laws a targeting..
