Hey guys,
Havn't been on here for a while and thought i would share a few pics of the build my father in law and i have been working on.
The bike is a 79 lowrider shovel. The bike was pretty much standard before the build and was looking a bit sad. After becoming very pissed off at patching it up all the time we decided to go all out and give her some loving. Some of you may remember this bike from other posts when i was having dramas.
So far the engine and driveline has received:
Got S&S crank New barrels and pistons New heads S&S Cam S&S Breather S&S Oil pump S&S E Series Jims lifter & pushrod conversions Jims rockers Dynatek Dual fire ignition Revtec 5/4 Transmission Rivera diaphragm spring clutch Belt drive primary
How the bike looked before the build
All stripped down
Engine on the deck
Some carnage found in the breather
Old crank next to new S&S crank. Was a fair bit of difference between the two.
Different angle
Hollow crank casings, new barrells, new heads all capped off ready for powder coating.
Back from the powdercoater
New quick bob tank, wide glide style rear fender, oil tank and lepera seat.
New tins sitting on the frame. Trial fit of transmission.
Engine fully assembled.
Coils on billet mount with key ignition. Looks cool as shit!
Fat max rear wheel
Gave the frame a shave and powdercoated in satin black
Couple of other parts done in satin
Rear rim wrapped and new rear brake.
DNA springer. Got something real cool on order to trick this up a bit... stay tuned.
Slowly coming together
Latest shot of oil tank installed, New S&S raw teardrop cover, exhausts sitting on to see how they look and wiring underway.
Kool

Fair bit of progress has been made on the shovel. Starting to look really good! Hopefully ready before xmas! Enjoy the pics...
Updated diaphram style clutch and belt drive.
Another angle. Starter solenoid on the inner primary now replaced with ultra cool manual lever!
Twin piston rear brake setup, new rear shocks etc etc.
Speaks for itself really.
Now this is cool! Father in law spent a bit of time surfing the net and found some guys in Texas that can make a DNA front end look really unique!
All fitted up.
Shot from the side.
Close up of the front with the 4 piston j-brake up front.
Close up.
Mentioned before, Billet coil mount with ignition. Good shot of the manual starter.
Off the lift for the first time rolling.
Tins came back and fitted up. Such an awesome job on the spraypainters behalf.
Great pics and build, keep up the good work.
That front fork section really makes the DNA forks unique. So much better, looks great now.
few picks of the shovel. Coming along now. Just waiting on a few little parts.
I bet it will be on the road before Xmas day. Looking pretty sweet.
