Hi,  I have just fitted the Ikon progressive rear shocks to the roadking and find that the detachable sissy bar hat fits to the 4 point docking system and to the rear shock mounts now wont fit. it fouls on the top of the new ikon shocks.  The shocks are excellent with a much improved ride but the sissy bar issue really pisses me off.  I will ring Ikon tomorrow. Anyone had the same situation..steve

i had the same problem on my 2011 roadking, in the box that your shockies came in there should be 4 x spacer washers, fit them each side between shock and mount point, as i have the 4 point docking system and problem solved,, hope that helps,,

p.s.   the ikon progressives shock are perfect,, trying to find that sweet spot with them is a pain though

Thanks coffy , yes I did see the spacers but a little hesitant as spacing the shocks out with them will add leverage to the shock supports and if possible would like to avoid but I think I will have to space them out in the end, I contacted IKON and they will (Get back to me) they say they have contacted the boss in the USA and have never heard of the problem before HHmmm. But I have to say after fitting progressive spring rate shocks I will never accept the standard touring air shocks again. The answer is definitely a progressive spring rate shock for a good ride.

Hi all, I'm all happy again I contacted Ikon and they got back to me super quick with the remedy as Coffy stated above use the 4 small sleeves that come in the box with no detriment ie extra stress on the mounts due to the small amount of extra leverage..that was not the intended purpose of those sleeves...but it works out well. If you are thinking about doing it don't hesitate the difference is worth it. I dealt with a lady named Kylie and can't speak highly enough of her support. I'm with you Balofski love my 4 point dock system and love the Ikon shocks. Those cheap crap Harley air shocks should be bannes, but I guess if you are used to good quality roads they would be just fine but here in the Gold Coast hinterland the roads are dangerously bad.
