Hate cairns. Went up there 4 times for footy. The violence at night is outrageous, crocs,sharks and box jellyfish everywhere, and a cyclone every 12 months....not for me....love the reef and rainforest though.....

All righty then ... how about this? There are some people who do not believe the crocodile seen near the end of this clip is real. I cannot say as I did not create the original. What I can say are five known truths regarding Estuarine Crocodiles and Cairns. 1. Some years ago there was a pub area in the CBD that was known as 'The Barbary Coast'. One night a guy walked out of one of the pubs and tripped over a crocodile on the footpath. 2. Before the pool fencing laws, one day a family found a crocodile had taken up residence overnight in their suburban back yard swimming pool. 3. One night a taxi drove over a crocodile that was crossing the airport access road. 4. A crocodile decided the pond at a parkland area called 'Cetennary Lakes' would be a good place to live. 5. Crocodiles are regularly seen swimming just offshore at all the suburban beaches. These were all Estuarine Crocodiles (salties) so the croc at the bungee jump pond could very easily be for real.
