Fitting oil cooler

    Want  to fit oil cooler to 85 evo does anyone know correct way is it fitted before or after the oil filter? Thanks

    If you have not yet bought a bolt on kit then consider the oil filter cooler collars.

    They are "finned" and they slip over the genuine oil filter, either EVOS or twincams

    On ebay US for $60 Australian delivered

    They drop oil temps 20F , even in stop/go traffic , all for a fraction of the price and none of the headfuck of a plumbed in system

    I did have slip on cooler collar 5 years back on my evo for summer but than changed to the ultima down tube type put in line with the oil filter housing lines
    and reckon they work better in perth weather ,with the collar you have to use hd oem oil filters two for it to fit ,as it works on interference fit so it wont rattle or
    come loose ,as for oil flow evos oil go through the filter after the motor will take a pick later if you need it
