Hi , headin off to work but i thought id leave this in your capable hands...

Ive just bought a 2008 road king with vance & hines radius pipes - hi flo filter -and screamin chicken tuner.

Anyway im 120kg and it feels like a slug when moving off or passing (last bike 103 stage 4 in softail standard)

I need an idea on cam selection. Dont care if its screamin eagle or not as its way out of warranty and it will be fitted by an independant shop anyways.

And yes ive looked through some other posts , but just wanted some other ideas / experiences.

Took the missus for a ride on the weekend and with the extra weight (said looking over shoulder) it was a shocker.

Yep, Andrews 48 is the ticket, just wack em in and ride. My 96ci streetglide pulls off the throttle in 6th, very nicely.
    Tune helps also.

    Thanks for the info guys

Had an andrews cam in a stroked evo years ago and never had a problem.

Ive also been recommended the S&S 551 ez start by my local shop.

Apparently if i do the S&S 106 later down the track i would keep the 551's in.

Any dramas with the S&S that anyone has had experience with ?

    Cheers

Yes it's early days for the easy starts, I only have a couple of k on mine , I was skeptical on them but decided to give them a shot as even though I'm a fitter and turner, the not having to fit decompressors was a huge advantage as the price of my cams was no greater than similar, knowing there is no extra load on starter and battery is worth it alone
