Rust on spokes

    I know this has been done before mate of mine has 2012 dyna which is still under warranty spokes are very rusty has anybody made a claim for this problem

    There was a thread on here ages ago about someone who went back and I think they got them fixed under warranty. Do a search.

    the amount of money these bikes cost you would think they could put stainless spokes in......

    I always though elbow grease stopped rusty spokes? Ya can't make a claim on a dirty bike can ya? Or am i missing something?

    got a 42yr old jap bike with no rust on spokes maybe harley needs to find another Supplier

    A lot of the spokes look like chrome but are not, they are nickel plated, might be shiny but its not chrome, rims are chromed. AFAIK Harley spokes are nickel plated not chromed, rub them with some wet aluminium foil and watch the rust dissapear !

    The stock organic brake pads cause this.

    elbow grease and a few skinned knuckles will usually fix it. until the next time

    Have the wheels respoked with stainless spokes. Give 'em a polish before they're installed.
