engine removal

    on a twincam is it necessary / adviseable to remove the primary housing to remove the engine?

    Manual says yes but that look a pretty big hole after the stator is removed to move things around in.

     

    Just trying to get orginised ahead of time.

    absolutley, can't get to the engine to gbox bolts without it GONE.

    on a evo yes makes it easier would think it to be better on a tc too get to transmission to engine case bolts ?

    well that fucks that idea. guess I need to buy a few screws for the primary to gear box then. may as well replace the seal while I am at it.
    does this shit ever end????????????????????????????????????????

     There is a gasket kit you can get that includes new inner primary to crankcase bolts as well as a seals and gaskets etc.

    got it all mate except the seal and bolts for primary to gear box. But then again there is bound to be some thing else I have forgotten to get in advance.
    Maybe one day I should read one of the manuals I got and not ask silly questions here
