Well the bullshit has started up our way got a text from a mate today while I was a work and this is what he said.

"I just had a visit from the cops, wanted to know who I was affiliated with and do I have anything to do with club members."

I rang him up at lunch time to find out more, now as many of you know if you been on a club poker run or gone to a club show there is a good chance you have been pulled over had your photo and details taken and now classed as a associate this is what happen to my mate a couple years ago and when he asked the cops why they came to his house they did tell him that they have been given a massive amount of funding to follow up on bikie associate's.

So guys get ready for that knock on the door it's coming and no matter what this fucked up Queensland Government says that innocent riders won't be affected with these laws truth is we are all guilty in there eyes.

BTW my mate's who I ride with are not club members same as myself we just enjoyed going to poker runs and bike shows which I fear will now become a thing of the past.

Besides being fucked up , there is an obvious method to this madness ?

But it seems every time we have LNP government they have to come up with a bogeyman to scare the populace, last time it was "Al Queda" and fucknuckle Hussein with WMDs . It makes Mr&Mrs joe public feel secure knowing their goverment is looking after them.

I think you guys have missed the point somehow... This is all down to guys that purport themselves to be members of a bike club when the reality is they are just thugs and criminals.
While ever these cunts present themselves as decent law abiding motorcycle enthusiasts all motorcyclists will suffer the intimidation of the police. Let the cops do what they have to and shut the fuckers down. Then, and only then, we might get some peace.

Something else to think about while the cops are tied up pulling up innocent motorcycle riders the real crims will keep driving past the road blocks in there cars and still selling drugs they do it now and they will be laughing and if this Government thinks by getting rid of the clubs the crime rate will drop they must be on another planet if anything it will go up it will be just pushed under ground.

people have been fighting and brawling for a very long time, and will continue to do so, it is no big deal. People have got hot under the collar on the roads and they called it road rage, sad but no big deal. people have been getting drunk and passing out in public since booze had been discovered, no big deal. However we all know if you put a leather vest or jacket on just 1 person in all of these events then it becomes a big deal, you don't need to to even have a bike, but the fact is there is leather, and that makes it a bikie thing. look at the news lately bikie clubhouses have been hit, and drugs and money seized, just as Newman wants to publicly stuff it up for the riders of this place. Only the guilty will be affected? What planet are you on?!! Even the tourist trades will be hit any more than 3 riders, come on how many bike tours are run around the country. We have criminals in the Salvation army, St Vincent de Paul, just to name a few supposedly innocent organizations, the armed forces and even the police. The media, well there is a whole new breed of criminal all together. The power to change peoples way of thinking to their way.and those bloody cameras, pictures don't lie crap, pictures of so called decent people being not so decent, a prominent female, topless on a boat in the middle of the ocean, pictures taken, now prominent slut on the water. public female figure gets out of car wear no underwear, picture taken, disgraceful behavior. So you people that think this evidence you have about outlaw clubs being nothing more than just criminals because you have seen it on the news, you need to get out of your coma and take a decent look around. the rides for fallen mates, I go on, the toy runs, the ride for breast cancer or what ever the heck it is you want to ride for, most of the time it is run by the so called outlaw clubs. But the pollies that crave total power over EVERYONE label all riders as bad people, the media want to make money so they find as much crap as they can to provide the proof that what the pollies are saying is true, and over the decades the general public is convinced of the same thing and so when these kids grow up they hate ALL riders and have never had anything to do with them. Most of these brain washed people pass that thought onto their children and so on so the hatred grows, and now we have the media exposure to assist our head of (brown shirts) as mentioned by another member,,(and I agree with his name of it) to push us into the garbage. The question now is who is going to stop this from happening? Because if you are one of these people who believe that only the guilty will be affected, you are part of the problem, and we know you will not be there to show support if asked. If you believe that motorcycle clubs are full of bad people, you to are part of the problem. I can tell you all here right now, I may not be a member of a so called outlaw club, but if a rally was called, and they asked for as much support as they can get, I WILL BE THERE! and to hell with the power hungry pollies, the media and the police. I believe we have the right to be free. Wars were fought so we could live without being afraid of what our government will force us to do, NOW TAKE A LOOK AROUND YOU!! look at all the things that have been banned look at all the parks that have been closed, the places people use to go to just to have a break, fenced off and being threatened to be prosecuted. Other public venues being closed down each day, if people use it for enjoyment then it gets closed down, and a venue for some penny pinching company takes its place. Sorry this has turned into a long statement, I just had to say what was on my mind here.

 Well said lurker501  i know the goverment must do somthing to prevent these clubs from from turning the streets into a bloodbath however they seem to tackle the problem the wrong way and the result is the average biker weres the brunt of it and is victimised  cause he may ride a harley davidson with loud pipes or go to a bike show or pokerun.the only way to prevent these problems is not banning clubs but to pass out harsher goal sentences to individuals weather or not they are a member of a outlaw club.

This is a true story it only happened a few months ago, myself and a few other mates went to a local pub for a ride and to have a counter lunch, there was four Harleys and one Suzuki M109 and of course we had a vests on, as we were sitting at our table a older couple walked up to us and asked if we were members of large 1% motorcycle club here in Australia sorry don't want to name the club.

Ok after telling them we were not they were happy and also very friendly but they would of got there information from the media in the first place thinking that anyone that rides a large motorcycle and wears a vest must be in some way associated with an 1% club.

I feel with all this media attention and the Governments of the day puffing out there chest about bikies and crime it's going to get a lot worse before it get's better, I really can't blame the public they don't know the difference but it's going to make it hard for us for a while yet.

I have to agree with most things already said here, 'some' within 'some clubs' are their own worst enemy..that is their choice...there are volumes of Laws to apply to those individuals..... It's the collateral criminalisation of friends and others who may only 'look' similar that is despicable, illegal, and contravenes a raft of human rights. When official Police statistics show that motorcycle club members & associates only 'contribute' 0.03 of a percent to the total amount of crime police deal with but probably draw something close to 60-70% of Media exposure those miniscule numbers appear of epidemic proportions. Unfortunately many in the community do not share our understanding of the 'politics of fear' and the benefit political party's gain through votes by beating the drum on the 'tough on crime- tough on bikies' agenda. Best way through it is resistance, do what you've always done, ride whenever you like, ride on poker runs, protest rides, charity runs, hell, ride on any and everything you can....anything less is succumbing to bullying, and since when did that make it go away !

safety risk to the general population and so it is not a right to have a licence it is a privilige of the police dept that you are or aren't a fit and proper person to hold such licence the end SHINGLES was on medication at time of writeing so it may make sense may not and I never read what I wrote never at time of doin so I dunno fadingfast now

 Some pretty strong views here guys , not all 1 percenters or immigrants are crims. I've met some decent people from both. We don't want to be judged or grouped together with the bad eggs, let's not do that ourselves! I'm not really disagreeing but while the media and the polies and cops are overreacting us the other 99% of bikers need to be seen as rational decent people. 

Don't know anything about the MRA but what I've seen on the news. Maybe we all (this forum) should lend our numbers either to the MRA's voice or put together a well thought out and considered statement ourselves to the media. Maybe some organised protest rides ? I don't have the answers but these are some of the main things that worry me ( not necessarily in order of importance)

1. Civil Liberties our rights as Australian Citizens 

2. Public Perception - I'm not the sort of person who gives a fuck what anyone thinks. A Good ride like a gleaming Harley looks incredible? People should be able to enjoying looking at them I don't want people to avoid looking at me at the lights or when I ride beside them on the highway. 

3. Safety - I don't want some idiot freaking out and running over me in a 4WD or a redneck vigilante deciding to run me off the road.

4. Freedom - I usually ride on my own just me and the road. BUT I don't want anyone telling me I can't go out for a ride with a group of friends or like minded enthusiasts 

5. Over zealous Cops - I love the sound of my bike, I don't want to have to worry every time I go out about the note or something stupid like a frame around a number plate obscuring it

6. Politics/Laws - I don't want to be a political football. We don't need new laws that restrict us decent people. Wake up and do something to toughen up the existing laws that will punish the people who deserve to be punished. Drug dealers, murderers, rapists, thieves, and child molesters.

I've known some fairley decent people who are or were 1%,  and it may be a matter of semantics but if you join a club that is by it own admission "outlaw" I dont understand how you can legitimatley  complain when the government by virtue of the police decides that it will not tolerate this outlook . You must be naive to expect the support of your ordinary law abiding person. We do not live in the middle east where an Arab Spring will overthrow the goverment and we can change the laws to ones we prefer . There has always been only one way to change the system and that is to become part of the decision making politburo.

I dont like these laws and I dont think they are fair on many grounds ,but if it helps weed out the criminal element and returns the biking ethic in even a small way to the old days of having fun with your mates and enjoying the freedom of riding than I will put up with the inconvenience of being hassled by the cops. Eventually they will get sick of it and find someone else to hassle . I've been riding 1 bike or another for a bit over 40 yrs and this wont stop me from continuing to do so .
