    Hi guys,

Anyone know where I can get or whether I can modify a jiffy stand to shorten it on a 98 Dyna Lowrider? I've taken th 13.5' shocks of the rear and replaced them with a 10.5' (looks awesome and rides reallyl well) but my stand is a little too long and I have to lean the bike to the right a little too much for my liking to get the stand down properly.  I will also be lowering the front in the coming days, just need to pick up fork oil to change the springs.

    Cheers

cant remember what the stand looks like on a dyna but I know for softails they make a angle wedge that goes between the stand and mount which is used for lower bikes or a lower stand

    Bought a 1" shorter kick stand from J & P Cycles when I put 10.5" shocks on.

Thanks gents, I spent sometime with a few beers in the garage this evening with a mate and (as you on the beers) think we've identified another issue. My stand is dragging along the road whenever I hit a bump, actually had two people in cars almost pull me over to let me know my stand was dragging and hanging way to close for comfort. I put it up on the lift tonight and it looks like the spring is fucked, she's a little stretched and isn't returning the stand to the correct position when I'm riding and it scrapes across the road, makes a little sound here and there but I reckon if I hit something it may be a little problematic.

With regards to the standing issue, we installed the Burly front springs tonight and its almost up straight so with the current spring and the height issues definitely just time to buy a new stand.

Just buy one and keep your original. When I split the sump open I put some 12" touring shock on my Dyna and the 1" shorter stand leaned the bike over too far so it was handy to have the original still.
