Up early in the morning to head up to Townsville and Maggie island then home via Airlie Beach etc, 3000klm round trip. Still get excited every time a ride is on, maybe thats why we ride i guess.

Just back early this arvo. Great run going up but very pear shaped thereafter! Filled up in Townsville and had a good run down to Airlie beach 280klm about 3hrs, switched the bike off to go check in, 10min later started the bike and instantly noticed a slight stumble or misfire when i went to pull away. Within 20mtrs we were running on one cyl and having to rev the crap out of it to just move. Long story short after several attempts to get it going we were ruduced to full throttle to get to 60klm with backfiring and crap going with it. We called Harley assist and parked the bike for two days. The "Authorised Harley towie" arrived in the work ute with a rusty old trailer and a ramp that Crusty Demons could do backflips off it was so steep! Any way we finally got it on and this trailer and the 1.5hr tow cost $800!, Harley paid $550 and we paid $250. The boys at Mackay Harley were fantastic and ended up jamming some new injectors and doing something with the o2 sensors. Unfortunatly they did not have any std injectors so to get us running put s/eagle big mothers in. I had my power vision with me and ended up tying to do a lean as i dare tune but after about 50klm of the 400klm run to Yepoon we started the misfire but nothing like before. Due to the late depart from Mackay we did most this run in pitch black knowing that if she stopped out here we were fucked for the night. The final run home 600klm was a surging, stuttering, backfiring but uneventfull event. Bike is booked in for service and sort out the issues with injectors and a well earned wash!

bad luck on the breakdown, rear shame to happen on a trip. If you were silly enough to hand over $800 for the tow , your a dumb cunt :) ffs It only cost $550 to ship a bike from sydney to perth recently.

Ha Ha it cost me $250 and Harley $550! Plus they paid for three nights accom at $120 per night plus 1 days car hire at $70 and it cost me nothing to get the Harley assist programme. Maybe not such a silly cunt after all

that sounds better. let us know how you get on with the bike issue.

pauly bad news about the dramas, least you got home.
With the PV you could just turn off the 02's and run your last Good map and see how she goes.

Program Vehicle, Quick Tune, then the Tab Config.
This area is where you turn on / off all sorts of things and from memory you can adjust the speedo count. With out sitting on the bike making a list it's the best I can do for you.

you can turn them off and run on any map. Might not be the absolute best running bike but might just get you out of trouble.
Not sure if this stuff is in the user guide or not to be honest.
Generally if you change some thing in this area when you pull the map up in Win PV it will show up under Limits and Switches on the file structure.
