Hi guys after lurking around here reading about bikes I decided to buy my first Harley...................... a 2009 Fatbob in denim black. She's a totally different machine to my previous ride which was a 2002 Hayabusa but i'm loving the big girl. I bought her from Wayne Leonards in Cairns and have loved putting 2,000 klm on her so far. It came with the SE heavy breather, V&H Big radius 2-1 and the S.E.R.T, so all in all i'm a happy camper.

Good that you got the tuner...

Go buy yourself some cables for it (from a harley dealer of course) and get the tuning software (from a harley dealer of course)..

The whole lot will set you back about $100, but its well worth it!!

There is Plenty of stuff on youtube to help explain doing your own tuning...

Its a whole other side to caring for your ride that many will never experience, and I feel it helps make your ride more perfectly suited to you.

Thanks Chrisco, i looked at many bikes and rode alot of them before settling on the bob, just felt right. going to sort out the mushy suspension as i'm on the wrong side of 120kgs but being 6'3 the bob is a nice fit

Thanks guys, I originally wanted a night train but none were up here for sale at the time, I saw the bob sat on it, rode it and a few others but kept coming back to it. after 2 weeks owning it and 2 very near drops down the road I swapped out the factory D427 dunflops for some Commander2's and have to say wow massive improvement. next on the list is a leaking fork seal and some more mods.

best choice I have ever made I reckon, although I must remember it isn't a sports bike as I have already managed to chamfer my pegs tapped the pipe and my primary cover as well
