    Hi guys,

I have the cast alloy wheels on my Sportster and I'm wondering what the best way or product to use to keep them clean.  Don't want to go damaging them so thought I'd ask before I clean them for the first time.  Also any suggestions for what product to use on the chrome?  I have autosol that I used on my old bike but not sure it's the right thing for the new one?

    Thanks

    Warbo

Warbo, I use Autosol on the wheels and chrome. Still trying to find a product that will clean the cast mags though. Have tried alot of different things with varied success. The wheels are worst on the leading edge as the grime is forced into the casting. I think the best way is to get them chemically cleaned then powder coated clear, black or whatever colour you like.

    Warbo,

I have the cast wheels and they were getting pretty dull, normal cleaning with a sponge wasn't doing the trick so I started scrubbing them with a soft plastic brush, similar to what you'd get with a dustpan, it worked wonders. I just used the Harley tyre and wheel cleaner on them.
