I'm fitting my forward controls myself. Has been pretty easy so far. Now I come to the brake linkage. It seems I'm gonna have to remove my exhaust to get to it. Anyone had to do this before??

Hey Shane, just done the same job! No don't have to go that far! All I used was the 25T torx bit in a ring spanner took a little stuffing round but could be done easier with one of those ratchet type ringies! Cheers & good luck! Grant

As above, also using a heat gun to softer the loctite will help.

G'day Shane. Don't know what year bike yours is. I did it to a 2003 (standard headers) some while back - and while it can be done, found it easier to take em off. Don't know about the later models ?

 Yeah think I had to loosen my exhaust to do mine too.
