I need a summer jacket. The harley road warrior jacket is described as below:

Midweight leather jacket with mandarin collar. Front and back vertical vents and shoulder vents to cool things off

What are people's personal experience with this jacket, particularly in relation to summer use?

Forgot to say I've got one of these with the hoody vest inside. Its good to ride in. I went into Peter Stevens a couple of weeks ago and bought the FXRG elbow and shoulder protectors. They were $33 a pair so $66 for the lot.

just tried the road warrior 3 to 1 jacket on at dealer

xl was slightly large. They didn't have a L were going to order one in .

my question is if I order from dhgate the only seller who still has this jacket with any decent feedback is feiyingmotofs and it appears some say there jackets are sized incorrectly. Ie need to order smaller jacket size to get right fit. There L would be a XL here. 

Can anybody give some feedback.

i would buy local if price was closer say $450 ish but having bought new fatbob less than 6 months ago feel like I have done my bit to keep there r and d dept funded. 

Harleys newest jacket is $850 in store and that is an absurd amount to charge.

Builderbob there's a seller on eBay who sells the Chinese copy harley jackets. It's usually either sale via auction or best offer. Expect to pay $300 or more. He only sends them via mail so no opportunity of trying on.

I ended up buying an rjs 'breeze' jacket. Leather with perforated holes and breathing parts throughout. Very light but armoured and looks good. Got it for $289. Really happy with it. Sizing a little bigger than usual

harley can't be that much more than market price and expect everyone to just pay.

there are a lot of other  motorcycle jackets nowhere near that price.

we have a global financial crisis and each level of customer is tightening their theoretical belts.

 Harley don't think they need to do this as a business decision. Their call. I am just making my own call and say $850 for a jacket is too much. If I didn't get one from china then I would buy a cheaper australian product hat did not have their logo on it .

As it is they still get me advertising for them

Aren't they in the business of trying to sell their product.

they create the brand,then set the price.

they then choose to hold their pricing ridiculously high 

they offer no discount or any reduction in their absurd ppricing 

they have all the advantages, customer ready to purchase their product actually in their shop yet they refuse to make it financially viable to buy from them.

this is their idea of holding brand pricing.

i don't agree with iit

market  forces dictate when you keep your price high and when to discount.

as a small business owner I am screwed over by clients who want my quality product at the cheapest price they can find, they waste my time constantly asking for reprises and reductions. As annoying as this is you just have to accept that ALL customers do this in some way at some time.

if you are honest with yourself you would have done the same at some point in time. 

Tell me again how my fatbob costs over $10000 more to produce than a sporty.

Yet if we want that product we have to pay the price. 

Ps. Adelaide has only one Harley dealer so not even in house competition happen here

 

A Mandarin collar is just like the name suggests. Like the jacket collar on Traditional Chinese Tunic!

 

just under 500 bucks in USA ,,, im sure u could get it sent over for less then 350 bucks.. just sayin

Yup I bought a 110th anniversary jacket from the states, including postage all up $400.00 as opposed to the price tag of almost $800.00 at the local dealer. I use the dealer to give me the size I am looking for then go to the states and see how much I can get them for, most of the time it is half the price.

yep got the jacket after 9 days. Posted out no problems tracking was a bit behind . Told me was being shipped when had arrived in Adelaide. Very minor so not an issue was just nervous as have never used dhgate before. 

Jacket appears to be exactly same as original. All zippers are backwards as per USA one. Leather and stitching look and feel awesome. Logo and writing seem to be right and size is perfect.

all in all I am stocked as would NEVER have paid  $600 for any  jacket and if this is copy I don't care $234 landed at my door is a reasonable price.

My experience with dhgate was very positive. 

Now gotta get out on the bob and use it

 

Good to hear, had a look at my genuine harley jacket that I bought with the bike! Guess what? Says made in China, so I don't think yours is a copy.
