Hey all. I'm about to ride my bike back to the Goldy from Perth next week. Anyone got any good spots to stop along the Nullabor. Anything I should definitely take tool-wise. Anyting good or bad to add. I'd appreciate anyting to help a brother out. Cheers, Quirky
Make sure you will make the planned distance with the tyres you have on, once down they turn to shit pretty
quick so one of the last things you need is to be sitting around in some small town waiting on a tyre to turn up.
Made the run from Sydney to Perth, on the way back we put the bikes on the train from Perth to Adelaide as we didnt want to do it both ways. We then spent 3 boring days on the train, I will never do that trip again on a train, so glad to get off the train.
Tryes are one of the most important things they do tend to wear very quick. Also you will probably have to fuel up at every garage, most bikes dont have a big enough full tank to do every second fuel stop.
While you out on the Nullabor you will know everyone on the road by the end of the trip, good luck and have a fun time. Not much out there but it good to be able to tick that box and say you have done the longhaul :-)
Do not ride at night
The train would be brutal hey. How many k's you getting outta a rear tyre Rocky?
Thanks Hilly. Looks like I might be throwing a new back tyre on.
Thanks Mickle, it all points to good rubber hey.
