    Hi Guys,

I have a set of V & H Monster Ovals and was thinking of changing them for something a bit louder, I don't mind the monster ovals but they have more of a droney sound and I want something with a bit of a bark, not too much though, so I wanted some help in picking some new pipes .....

what rating  out of 10 would you guys put on your pipes compared to the Monster Ovals sound, I give the ovals around a 4 out of 10 for sound if 10 is the loudest....

    Thanks in advance

    Hi there

I had Monster Ovals on an Electra Glide Ultra Classic (they were on the bike when I bought it) and the drone at 100 k's drove me nuts. I swapped them out with a set of Supertrapp 4" Stouts that didn't drone and were about 20% louder but not obnoxious. There is an exact set of the same slip ons which are louder again - Kerker Stouts. Have a look on the Supertrapp site.

I got them from M&M in the US.

    Cheers

I have a set of S&S ovals & had them for yrs I preferr the sound from these then the monstar ovals as a mate had them on a 08 SG totaly different sound. But he like his over mine. So it all depends on the person listing to the pipes. But I give mine 10 out of 10
