Hello From Brisbane

    Hello forum people,

I have always admired the look of the Heritage and this is the second Heritage I have owned after stupidly selling my 2001 model.

This is a 2003 100 year anniversary model in the color scheme i just had to have.

Had one owner that really did look after it with only 25000 klms on it. Stock except for Screaming Eagles and a new rear rack.

Norton Commandos have been my passion and I have owned 13 over the last 43 years(makes me sound old)

My brother(on a fatboy) and I are heading from Brisbane to Phillip Island via Sydney and Canberra, then ferry across to Queenscliff to Port Campbell along the Great Ocean Road next week. maybe we will come across some forum members on the way down or back.

Rod from the forum has promised good weather, so we hope he keeps his promise(else we get wet ;-)).

Looking forward to meeting some other members some time soon enough.

Below is a photo of my new pride and joy.

Mate I have done the World Super Bikes twice now ... once on a Bike and once in a hire car with the missus ... both great times ... when you leave the Island and go over the Queenscliff ferry and then the Great Ocean Road you will love it ... Do your self a favour and when you get to Port Campbell keep going a few more K`s to the Bay of Martyr's ... there are just as many Ocean out crops simular to the 12 Apostles just not as big but a shit load less tourist .

Apollo Bay along the way also is great if you aren't in a rush ... stay the night and totally mellow out to the sounds of the Ocean ... Farkin Amazing ... but then I am a Brisbane Suburban Boy who doesn't get to sea Ocean sites like our lucky Victorian Brothers , Lol .

Oh , welcome to the site ... Tim .

Thank you for the welcomes and tips for the GOR trip.

I was lucky enough to have lived in Melbourne until 1980 when I moved to Brisbane where the sun shines a bit more often and you do not have to dodge tram tracks :-)

We did a few rides to Apollo Bay in the 70s on Kwaka 9s and Norton Commados etc, but never been past it. So thanks for the tip Tim, will do.

Did an oil and filter change today, fitted a new 6piston calliper and tested it out over Mt Mee today, the bike has better braking now.

Only two more sleeps to go and we are gone.

Thanks again for the well wishes.
