Got a 2011 standard an want to put on the quick release sissy bar, do I definitely need to change the indicator stems, or would a set of mini bullet indicators still give me enough room for the bar to clip on, any pics with bullet indicators an quick release system would be great

I've just bought some alloyart fender strut end led indicators for my flstf. Google or eBay them to check them out. Not on the bike yet. Bought them to tidy up the rear end and allow me to attach large saddle bags easily

Yep gotta install the kit. Moves the indicators backwards from the original position to provide enough room for sissy bar/luggage rack.

BTW you gotta cut the original wiring. If your anal about your bike this could be a problem. The bro is still crying.

Hi hooknit, I don't think they're technically roadworthy due to distance apart from each other but they would be close to the reqd distance on accout of my fat rear fender. They might not be as visible from certain angles either due to potential concealment up close next to fender. But I've got safety covered as the alloyart signals are going to supplement the kuryakyn panacea rear tail light I have already fitted which has integrated turn signal arrows. Google kuryakyn panacea tail light.

I'm fitting the alloyart signals next week. And the kuryakyn led signal front mirrors too.

Sounds like you have similar taste to me (softail, patriot exhaust, alloyart signals). I also like busty blonde women

+2 on that! Yeah as I have been looking at them for some time and if I got them I was going to get the bare ones and wrinkle them myself as my struts are

I fitted the geniune HD turn signal relocation kit to my 2009 softy last sunday. You do have to cut the wires, also, the condute shielding the cables is too large to fit through the new stalks. I had to remove the condute then fight to get the two cables through the stalk, it's a very snug fit. After stuffing around with that and getting it all heat-shrinked up, the cables ended up being a good 3-4 inches too short. Had rip it all back out and add some more cable, about 5 inches. It's all good now though. I'm sure the stealers would charge an arm and a leg for the job.

    Just in case anyone intrested:

A pair of direction indicator lights fitted to a vehicle must have the centre of each light at least:
    (a) for a motor bike or the single wheel end of a motor trike
    — 300 millimetres from the centre of the other light

    Ref:ADR's

Thanks for the info, I like this set up below but I'm not sure if it is legal in SA.

They don`t tell you that when they sell you the different stems do they , Lol .

Lone rider not sure about the different type blinkers but you definitely have to put the different stems on if you want to keep your original blinkers .

Hope it works for ya as the quick release seat and bar is the way to go if you have a missus you want to keep happy , Lol.

    Tim .
