did you put adjustables back in ( I assume so)?

They might need to be tweaked a little. We experienced this recently on an S&S motor also.

Hi Hoggy,

each manufacturer are slightly different depending upon thread pitch etc, but yes follow the manufacturers destructions... This is always a good starting point.

Just another thought.If you fitted adjustable pushrods,did you also fit aftermarket tubes,have heard quite a few people chasing noises,and it turned out to be the pushrods contacting the inside of the tubes,as the pushrods sit on a slightly different angle.And some only touch at certain times due to different expansion and contraction rates between the differnt metals.
