Well first time likely to own a Tourer

Found a low km 2012 Road Glide and pretty sure I will end up with it as long as the test ride is good.

What are the things to be aware of or known issues with these bikes??

    and

What are the must do mods?

Only own dyna's to date so not sure what to expect

    appreciate and advice

    cheers

    Max

They quit a fair few at $24k ride away later last year . They weren,t selling so Harley gave dealers $6K to sell em .

That,s what I thought Ozy .Found out too late , there was a thread here and I didn,t get in quick enough . The ones sold were black , don,t know how many , but it was an Aussie wide deal . No second hand bikes on the market reflect that sale price .

I have only just started with changes on mine (2013 Roadglide).  Bigger Air intake, tuner and Screaming Eagle pipes.  Pipes could probably be louder, but then you have to crank the music up.  Also fitted 6" Airsplitter screen.  Next on the list, Solo seat with detachable backrest.  Not sure what seat yet, leaning towards Mustang. Will also get hardware for detachable rack behind solo seat, so I can fit my Kuryakin grand tourer bag, which I bought for something else but never used.

Cheers Mate. I am not concerned about the motor side of things, I have that covered,
Just looking at any short falls and things everyone generally does, Suspension, brakes, lights etc hell sounds like the same list I had for my dyna

Exhaust I am yet to resolve, not sure on duals or 2:1 may try the power duals with S&S slipon's

I was in a certain Harley dealership in Dandenong yesterday and noticed they had a brand new 2012 Road Glide marked down a whopping $8000 to around $24K.  Clearly a run-out before 2013s arrive.

Gloss black, not that horrid denim finish.  Just the one.

If I had the coin I would have. Just a heads-up

Do a search on 2012 Roadglide  on the forum and this thread will come up Pauly . It was for real , I was too late when I went into Peter Stevens Adelaide . The dealer told me Harley paid them the difference from the discounted price to retail so they didn,t lose .

I knew you were a good bloke Oz, first the Fat Bob which I also have and now the Road Glide.

I just picked up a '12 Roady with 11k on the clock with an upgraded 300w stereo and speakers, Woods 222 cam, PCV tuner, V&H air cleaner and 2into1 pro pipe and various bits of bling for $27k here in Perth, only a couple of weeks ago.

I too have the same questions but I impulse bought before asking them. I'm keeping the Bob too because nobody could give me a valid reason why I shouldn't have 2 bikes...

I don't really like the Streety, I'm not fussed on the moving batwing and single light. Probably why I bought the Bob too...

Looking forward to some useful replies but not really holding my breath...

I forgot to say that so far it handles really well. It goes like a scalded cat and although I haven't been at Bob speeds yet it feels solid and leans over well at reasonable speeds. Be careful at low speeds though as I nearly dropped it in a carpark when I was surprised at how top heavy it was while backing it into a spot.
