Has anyone on here got the screaming eagle slip on pipes on there Dyna what are your thoughts about them ?

The stinking maggot Hway patrol F*#*^ pulled me over and have sent me for a sound check and if it don't pass I'll have to get a set of these I got some baffles out of the States for them fingers crossed

But they are pulling all bikes over here in the Hunter even blokes with standard systems are getting done its Bullshit didn't even put me on the bag only interested in the pipes

I have Vance and Hines slip ons on my Wide Glide and I'm happy with them so far.

Work has a calibrated sound test meter (not a testing station) and my screaming eagle slip on is about 2 to 3 db too loud to pass the noise regs test even though they are quieter than most other slip ons or full systems.

I'd be surprised if yours are much quieter.

I'll test mine when I get a chance, the cops and department of transport have left me alone so far but I guess they haven't been on a big blitz like they are in the Hunter.

I got S/E slip on pipes fitted to my Dyna they came with the bike a while back I was thinking of putting on a set of two into ones on my bike but gone of that idea can't justify the money plus I am happy with the sound of my bike give's off a nice note without it been deafen loud, not sure what's going on in NSW but hearing this story on other forums about the cops pulling over Harleys for noise testing even like you said bikes with standard pipes fitted just more of there bully boy tactics against Harley riders.

My SE slip ons had not for road use stamped into them.
Swapped over to S & S slip ons but they are just as loud, I also did a stationary noise test on the SE pipes and they were about 102 decible.
Over the 98 max for bikes not on Maritime list.

I had the Screamin' Eagle® Street Performance Slip-on Shorty Dual Mufflers - Slash Down - Jet Black P/N 80794-10A fitted to my '07 Street Bob in January. Prior to this I had Short Shots and Pro Pipe 2:1.... The statement on the slip-ons is:

"Street performance mufflers harnesses factory technology to produce a sound that is undeniably Harley-Davidson®. Not only do these mufflers make an aggressive statement with sound, they boost performance comparable to Screamin' Eagle® II race-use mufflers, and are street legal. Heat-resistant jet-black Cermat coating stands up to abuse, and will not fade or blue EPA stamped, these mufflers are street legal on stock displacement engines"....

So there you go.... they are pretty quiet compared to previous pipes and I don't envisage and EPA issue when I finally change my rego over
