Thanks for the welcome PaulyB. Don't usually participate much online and not sure how much I can contribute here as my first real bike for a long long time. I don't hve a mechanical bone in my body but love to ride. It was a great day for a ride yesterday I did the range to Kenilworth and it wasa fantastic ride. Thanks again for the welcome.

Hey Bob how do you find your rear shocks ? some of the roads around here are bottoming me out and I'm also scraping pipes a little on a good corner!

riding the crapiest roads have never bottomed out or got close. Very tight rear shock feel.
i am 85 - 90 kgs and the dealer set mine on 3. Want to get them to wind it back to 2. Bit from for me.
I don't ride real crazy but rode my mates Softail custom with extended forks and man did I love my BOB. When I got back on.. You can lean way more on he bob and haven't raced another harley through the twisty roads yet but bet the BOB would smoke most of them. It is really easy to ride.
If you haven't tried yet up the shocks to 3 or 4 and see how it goes.
Would different shocks stop you scraping pipes?
Maybe if you lift the rear. ?
Sorry really don't know shit out Harley's just learning myself but hope you get it sorted.

Welcome Frothychopster, what part of the sunny coast you from I ride every weekend usually the northern end there are some shit roads which can have your suspension working over time but it's all good fun give us yell if you are keen to go for a run
