All my clears make the car lights flare up or the air just flows straight into my eyes. It's okay in summer, but in winter that air is a bitch. I've got a pair of WileyX with interchangeable lenses I'm going to try one of these days (they're currently my day riding sunnies) and if that don't work I'll try the strap they came with. And if that doesn't work I may have to try googles....unless someone has a better suggestion.

I was using yellow lenses, they brighten everything up
I now have a set of light blue (Bearkat), not as bright as the yellow, but I still have clean view.
I think the clear lens don't block any glare.

I use a pair of Ugly Fish photochromic sunnies, they change depending on light conditions ,From clear at night to dark during the day. They have the rubber seal on the inside and you can change them from goggles to sunnies depending on your mood. A bit pricey but one pair of sunnies does it all.

    Clear safety glasses from Bunnings.
    Shatterproof polymer (I think).

And I wear their tinted ones during the day.

They can fog up a bit when stopped.

I use Scope safety glasses, can be purchased from safety shops, real cheap, like around $20/pr.  They come with a good quality strap, if you decide to convert them to goggles instead.  It's just a matter of removing the wings, and then clipping them in place.  I have 2 pairs, 1 tinted, the other clear, for a quick change if I happen to get caught out.  They keep the wind out of your eyes pretty good.

Fuglies, come with a band or can wear just like normal glasses, have foam pads to stop the air chilling the lids & also aids in stopping the glasses fogging up.
From Queensland & only about $70. Delivered to your door.

I use the polycarbonate HD 400 clear lense , 401 mid mirror tint , 402 dark tint , buy them off eBay @ $28 a pair , used them for years amongst others , work well !
I buy 4x401 , 4x402 and 2x400 at a time 10 pairs for all up @ $280 and they last me a few years , each pair comes with a thin strap and they sell hard cases for them too !
    Cheers

Bolle safety glasses, one tinted, one clear both with foam gaskets to keep the wind and odd angry bee out. Cost of both pairs still cheaper than a pair of "motorcycle specific" sunnies. I don't believe there is a universal "best", ultimately it comes down to preference..... And being able to see.

I checked out the photochromatic lenses when they first started coming out, but they simply weren't dark enough (not even close) during the day for my liking. Has something changed?

I wear the Fuglies goggles with the mirror flash for night, they are good, but the pin that holds the band to the frame has busted twice on two pairs. Both at highway speed, once in the rain (which made for an exciting roadside stop). I now use cable ties to hold the bands on.
