Found this site a couple of days ago and joined up straight away. been looking around for a few days now and I thought I better introduce myself. I have been around motor bikes my whole life and I learned to ride one when I was about 10 years old. My old man has been around bikes all his life (still riding at 70) so it's only natural for me to do the same. I didn't ride for about 20 years as I did the usual marriage, house and kids thing but I've been riding again for a while now....... and loving it.
Here is a picture of my rides
Welcome .
Welcome
Welcome Youngblood, nice rides there. Keep a lookout in the SA rides section for any up coming events. Be nice to meet a new face or 2 in the future. The more the merrier, even the old man is welcome too if he chooses to come along.
Hi nice bikes
Welcome mate
Welcome aboard Youngblood enjoy the ride, can't see why you wouldn't
Thanks guys, appreciate the warm welcome. Will keep a lookout for the rides and thanks for the invite for the old man as well however you may not want him to come along as he currently rides a 500cc scooter (the thing's pretty quick). The Harley is actually a Dyna Super Glide that has been converted to a Wide Glide using all genuine parts.
Hey Youngblood, just because this is a Harley forum, doesn't mean we discriminate what people ride. Your old man would still be welcome, regardless what he may ride. The whole point is just getting out and riding & enjoying it.
I couldn't agree more, I wish more people would think like yourself however there are lots of Harley riders out there that turn their noses up if you don't ride a Harley yourself. Unfortunately I experience that myself a lot when I ride the Suzuki. Like I said I wish there where more people like you, cheers mate.
My Intruder is a 97 model and I prefer to ride it when I go for a burn in the Hills as it has better lean angles than the Harley and I also like riding it when I feel like going for a thrash around the suburbs. However when I'm in a relaxed mood I love riding the Harley feeling the breeze in my face and listening to that spine tingling Harley exhaust note. Ahhh isn't life just great........
