h     heading home this morning in my car at 9.30am along the old western hwy (antony's cutting)  toward Ballarat

a police helicopter went by then hovered up ahead, then another went by caught up to the first one & hovered below it,

thought there must have been a prang up ahead! heard some bikes looked across to the new western hwy there was 100 -150ish hogs,

most with rebal patches alot with none, they went by, then at the rear another chopper, then finally the forth, couldnt beleive it, like something out of an old NAM movie,

4 helicopters!! boy are those rebels looked after!!  but seriously looked more like harasment,, l dont know how many were cops? ,how many were media if any?

2 marked choppers ,2 unmarked choppers,, some over kill there i'd say & poor use of tax payers money..

Rebels are on their way to Perth.

Cops are intent on harrasing them the whole way.

Yeah bit of a joke when they bang on about road / public safety , how much taxpayer dollars is blown each year in the relentless harassment and over the top targeting or shadowing of motorcycle clubs , there has never been a bigger threat to our freedoms as the governments obvious agenda to control the populace while other issues blowout and don't get half the focus !
After seeing other online clips of police laughing and saying , "well they're all getting pretty dusted up now" as police seemingly purposely stir up dust on the sides of roads , it does not surprise me that they would progress to getting choppers hover in order to sand blast and create a hazardous , uncomfortable riding environment , anything to spoil a party , its only going to get worse , as individuals most seem to enjoy and get off on ruining others days under the pretence of doing a job or serving the public , what a farce , what about the growing street gangs of different races bashing and mugging pensioners , what about their own infiltrated 'corrupted force ?

    Says you ....?
Thing is , there is no argument here , its plain as day to see the tactics are over the top and costly to Us All as Australian taxpayers , 1%er's or not , we're all citizens and all pay for 100% of it , the way in which they go about it must be bordering on harassment , is clearly over handed whatever the excuse they use and directs resources away from other areas that as taxpayers we pay for them to serve and protect also , I'm sure anyone falling victim to any other crime , like pensioner muggings while resources were stretched because of this agenda of state government collaboration to harass the shit outa motorcycle clubs would be left shaking their heads as well , as you say !
There are many clips taken from many different runs , clubs or not , where police are lined up along the sides of roads just watching the procession of bikes ride by , fair enough that there is a presence at such rides , even to carry out their multitude of checks or ensure road safety and laws are respected , but to the point of choppers hovering above bringing safety into question , when ya hear police on other clips clearly having a "Us V's Them" chuckle about how 'their all getting dusted up now , is no joke , its totally wrong and I don't believe that is the sorta service required at all , without the need of any crime even being committed ?
This treatment is just meant to be accepted as standard "law enforcement" , 'when government respond to boats full of people without ID and race to escort them from a beach in Indonesia to our shores using our Navy , where they then sue Us for the treatment they received or wreck the lodgings provided by Us and are released into Our communities to target and prey on our societies already vulnerable , well clearly not all do that , many are innocent , just like many members and associates of many clubs are too !
Just Sayin' , bit over the top in a supposed 'Free Country , time , money and resource wasting and becoming dangerous !

in my opinion,4 helicopters mirroring a group of motorcycles = harassment,
if you had to 1 would be enough to keep an eye on things, but l suppose 4 choppers intimidate more than 1?
the usual comments havn't changed either (we make no apologies for our actions)(these are outlaw motorcycle gangs)
l wonder what the future holds for motorcyclists that ride in a group?

Speaking as an ex-pilot, I have to say that travelling low near a road just to spray dust on travelling vehicles is almost certainly something that CASA would be interested in seeing evidence of and I suspect they wouldn't be very happy.

We used to get in trouble if we went low in anything except designated low fly training areas or landing zones...

Too bad the Rebel's don't have their own chopper to fly around the cops and put them off.
Far as I can see, once again, the cops are breaking the law.
I hope the Rebels are filming them and as you said Geoff3DMN showing the film to CASA and the media or making a Film Labelled "Police Harassment in Australia and when will it end".

Typical, coppers and the media working together.
Does it make you think about all those Rag stories involving Coppers and the media on " A Current Affair " and "Today Tonight".
Media making Coppers out as heroes and the others as REALLY BAD Criminals.

I would have thought it obvious by now, if you were a cop, and you saw a group of people fighting, and one person running away, you would think no money in getting in and doing your job and trying to stop the fight, so you wait until you see someone running away then grab them and fine them, after all they are stuffed after the fight, and you are fresh, then you go back to the fight and wait for the next runner and so on. You then go back to the depot and tell everyone how much of a hero you were because you made so many arrests, and the media gives you a big pat on the back for your bravery, and the rest of the world sees that image. not some scared cop hiding until some poor bugger half beaten to death staggers past your hiding spot so you jump on them. and to add a bit of extra flavour to the story we can just say that the fight was between 2 rival bike gangs. In the end people see a hero cop taking on bike gangs and winning and the people in the fight wondering what bike gangs were out the night they got their arses busted.

A few players from an NRL team have been charged with drugs and fighting, does this make all their players criminals ?? No wonder Ned Kelly did what he did.
