Hi, ive got a stuffed wrist and need to get an easy pull clutch. Ive got a 1999 year model 883 sportster custom but cant seem to find a kit or any info online to suit that year model. If anyone knows of somewhere i can source one to suit that year model, in Sydney or on the web, that would be great. Thanks

Muller Motorcycle Power Clutch, not cheap but typical German build quality.
I have installed one of these on a twin cam and it did make the leaver soft as, however
One thing to be aware of with these type of units, they work by increasing the leverage and there fore reduce the rotation and the clutch pack separation.

Another option is a different clutch pack.
After I found the Muller unit wouldn't give me the required separation I went with a Bandit machine works Sportsman clutch. Now it is way soft in the leaver and I have never felt any drag once I got the correct oil and oil level sorted. I have also never felt any clutch slip and I give it plenty. It does take a bit of setting up initially but is really a straight forward job. If it means you can keep riding it would be worth the effort and expense.
I am building a 125 and have no intention of touching the clutch, I may have to but I am confident it will do the job. I don't know if they make a unit for your bike however.
Get up early and give John a call in USA 717 4642800 there in Pennsylvania so East coast side 5.00am here is about 4.00pm there from memory.

Chers mate, just found these here http://www.jpcycles.com/product/630-817 looks pretty good but after more searching i noticed someone mention they can cause problems with the transmission, im guessing something to do with that reduced rotation and clutch pack seperation.

Another one i found is more like a spring assist for the clutch lever itself http://www.jpcycles.com/product/500-409 and i might give this one a go first. Anyone tried these or have any opinion which of the two is better?
    thanks

Had the Muller in a 1200 Buell and it worked really well.

if it is a spring assist working on the leaver my only concern would be with adjusting for free play. The spring may take out the free cable travel and have the bearing always riding.
The Muller does work but was an issue on "MY Bike" but my clutch was always an issue from new. Just the wrong end of the manufacturing tolerances I guess. Not sure about it causing transmission issues. It really was only a problem at traffic lights dragging and dropping into first. Usually the clutch doesn't fully disengage when normal shifting as we don't fully pull the leaver or at least I don't and that doesn't hurt anything.

Tried the spring assist type. Piece of shite, did bugger all. But maybe my old bike and super stiff clutch was just too much for it :). Muller power clutch should be here in a few days so will update once fitted.
