G"day fellow enthusiasts, Newcastle riders and surrounding areas. Anyone interested in a ride to pie in the sky at Cowan this Sunday 8/9/13. Meeting at the Oak Shell servo at Freemans Waterhole at 8.45 am for a 9am departure.

Nice easy cruise so all levels welcome. Plenty of servos on route if anyone needs fuel, of full up at the shell before we leave. Once at the Pie, and after scoffing an offering, we will be heading back to Wollombi Through Kulnura.

Upon leaving Wollombi tavern, we will head home the back way through Paxton, Ellalong, Qurrobolong back to freemans again or split off where you need to go. Distance from freemans to freemans is 285 ks. 

So lets do it folks. Bring the missus to if you want. Hutch

i have a long weekend FL and i will be heading west. or south. or north. where exactly is wollombi? im in wollongong and been waiting for a while to go for a good run. where the fuck are these places your talking about? i will be heading home on sunday but it would be nice to say hello to a fellow nutjob. good luck son.

Can meet you at pie in the sky if you want. Its north of Hornsby at Cowan. We should be there around 10.45 or so.

Wollombi is west of Cessnock. and Kulnura is turn off via Old Pacific h/w at Top or Ourimbah ( to give you an idea, or there are other turn offs) then follow signs to Kulnura - Wollombi - Cessnock - Singleton. Hope this gives you an idea?

based on previous rides, chuck in the experienced factor minus the newbie factor, divide that by the number of bikes, and multiply that by the amount of coppers we see. id say around 1 30.pm

Thanks to all who came.We ended up getting there at around 11.30 am as we were yapping to much at the start.
It was a great little trip to pie in the sky, and i scoffed down a beef and cheese pie. Six of us ended up going.
Unfortunately see, I didn't factor in the rain element which meant we didn't get to wollombi this time sorry Bybyv8.
we didn't see supm8 or The Beags either. maybe we got there too late. Well there is always a next time.

The rain Gods smiled on us...the roads were absolutely awesme and those corners and that mountain near Peats Ridge...ahhhh I am in love!
