    Hi there

Any folks living in Victoria and particularly in and around Melbourne have any recommendations for first class chrome work. As in re-chroming used parts or chroming new parts.

I'm not worried about cost just great work first time around. .

    Cheers

    Hi there

Rather than start another thread I though I'd ask the question here as it's to do with my initial post.

I've just had some items chromed and re-chromed and the work and results are great.

The only query I have is:

I had the left and right footboard to frame mounts (not sure the exact description) chromed and for the most part they look great. On the inside of the mounts on the right angle that returns to the rear footboard mount and where there is a reinforcing gusset, in the right angle above the gusset chrome has not "taken" as well as the rest of the mount/s. It's where the casting is rougher and not flat like the rest of it.

I'm not sure if this makes sense but is this normal that the chroming process is not great in that area?

    Cheers
