I wear ear plugs all day at work operating mining machinery & have been for the past 22 years but have never tried them while riding

A lot of my mates wear them for the wind noise but I dunno, maybe ill try it one day just to see what it's like

the S&S slash cut were making my ears ring so i started using ear plugs till i replaced them with the rush 1.75's ... ears have stopped ringing now. longer trips i do carry plugs and use them occasionally. i say there is nothing wrong with protecting your ears from wind noise at higher speeds ... anyone that says different hasn't been riding bikes long enough. Got a set of V&H staggered bigshots on the girl, was a little loud so I chased down a set of quieter baffles, man what a difference, quieter with a deeper note, very happy and so are the neighbors

ok went for a blast today in gale force winds with some plugs in & i now a convert. got off the bike for the first time in a long time without any deafness at all. the wind noise was next to nothing & it give's the pipes deep thump as well. wont be doing anymore long runs without them again if i can avoid it.
