Drive Chain Tensioner

    G'day good folks.

just wondering if anyone has a drive chain tensioner ( inline) on a 2000 up softy frame

After converting from belt to chain to accomodate the larger rear wheel /tyre, I got a reasonable amount of chain slap. To the point the guys I ride with tell me they can hear it. Even more so now I had to fit a full length chain guard after being booked by the same cop twice.

Yes, I have adjusted it correctly ( several times!) for those that are thinking it. After breaking chains in the past and seeing the damage they do , forgive me if I keep it on the looser side of stretched.

I have googled the shit out of it and found the Monstacraftsman ones to be the most "profesional " looking ones on the market. see pics below ( i prefer the skateboard wheel one for the lesser chance of draging a finger or wife stray shoe lace into it)

Only thing is , they are intended for a rigid. I know that I could weld one on but I was wanting to see if any one else had similar experiences and what was the fix you used?

    Cheers

PS sorry about the size of the last pic.

    couldnt resize it

    Matt

Most odd.... Chains do slap a bit, so ave to be adjusted spot on. What brand and type of chain do you use as you cannot skimp here ( I run a RK GB530GXW and love it)
