Having ridden big sports bikes for the past 25 years I'd decided a change to something more comfortable & lay back was in order - befitting my more mature years. I'd narrowed my choices down to a new flstc. Probably fitting exhaust, A/C, SE Pro tune & oil cooler at delivery. In my readings I came across this article -

Now I dunno if this guy is a Victory salesman or recently got fired by HD or if his misses just isn't giving him enough, but he certainly paints a sorry picture.
I'd be really interested in hearing your views, particularly in relation to the 103. What mileage have you done? Service costs/problems etc.

This one has been done to death before. Quiet simply if people dont like Harleys buy something else dont waste hours of writting how crap they are.Was never really sure why he did this anyway.

after reading that link story i think i'll sell up while its still running . Anyone want to buy my HD , its going cheap as its a time bomb and will require another mortgage to get it fixed when it eventually breaks down soon !
serious offers over $500 considered , lol

Ask yourself this. Who else out there has been making motorcycles for over 110 years?

I've got a couple of bikes, different brands. Ones a Harley. Both have their problems from time to time.
    I like riding both.
Have more problems with the Commodore then the bikes but I like Commodores.
Shit, I have more problems with my right hip and knee then the bikes and the Commodore.

Wow that was a long read and he must have spent sometime in front of his computer writing that stuff.

The way I see it is that no part will last forever and regular maintenence is  required whatever vehicle you own. Also if you ride it like a Drag Bike it may fail sooner than later.

Just ride it and have fun, I know my Harley makes some strange noises at times but I put it down to it is what it is :-)  If you have too many rattles get a louder exhaust

Some people will do anything for their 15 mins of fame. All of these bikes that have expired must be in some great harley graveyard somewhere, probably next to the elephants.
