Its coming time to replace the rear suspension on my Softail. 

What do you suggest???

An FXR..... Nothing is going to make a softail comfy.

Let you know in a week or so ... putting on some Progressive rears , 422 series with remote preload and Mono tube fronts .

Tussuck may have a small point but I think he is being a tad harsh ... I`m a 140 K`s and find the 2008 Fxstc quite comfy , especially on long rides , but did change my seat to a Mustang which made a world of difference as well as a set of those Heal support foot pegs ... can not recommend them highly enough .

Why are you wanting to change the rear suspension and what are you wanting to improve? Handling v comfort v ride height may point to different options.
