for some time I have been complaining to Frasers on issues related to vibration......

during the week i was fitting more bits to the bike and with the use of the bike lift have better access. Well, what did I spy................ seems that the nut has dissapeared from the right side of the engine stabiliser mount. This would also account for the metal rattle sound I have not been able to eliminate.

The bolt is fairly worn, especially the threads. Bike is now back with Frasers....... they said I should have it back by next Friday after they check for any other damage when they replace the nut/bolt...

Pic is poor, but gives you an idea.... you can se the gap between the top of the mount which bolts to the frame and the spacer (item 16 in the pic at the bottom)

Hey Uncle Ho how's it going m8.... I too had issues with vibration on my Dyna it was driving me nuts I was getting numb fingers from it, I could feel it through my feet on the pegs & even the seat, so I got onto Tony at SWHD & booked it in for a check up for the second time & as soon as he got back from taking it for a spin it went straight into workshop to change out both engine mounts, no questions & seems that the Dyna's are renowned for it.

All's ok now but will definately keep an eye on the T S mount, you can't imagine that bit's wouldn't rattle off with all that movement hey

Each time I hear about this kind of stuff, I almost regret trading in my jap for a harley.
The jap cost me nothing, never fell apart, was easy to fix and the dealers new their shit.

But then I go for a ride.
And wonder what my next Harley will be.

Is that what that fucking ringing sound is?
Everytime I corner to the left it starts sorta singing.
I thought it was the dreaded hollow axles singing in the breeze.
I must give mine a looking too.
