Volvi ...got to agree with Squid ... with our roads Aussie wide changing so much and so often it`s next to impossible to get a perfect shock setting but sounds like you are having fun finding the near perfect spots ... love how it looks when you have it slammed ... can't remember if you said you had a bad back but is that why you have the back rest or do you just find it more comfortable with it ... wouldn`t want to jump on quickly while it was still down , Lol .

Hey Dezzas ... if you don`t mind me asking , where about in Brisbane did you get your shocks set up and were they competitive price wise as opposed to buying them direct from the States .

Got lazy on this one TJU. Just over $21hundred fitted plus some discounted bling. Had read a lot of good write ups about dealing with JD direct, but reckon it good to keep it local sometimes. The crew at Heavy Duty did some nice work. Its done... and works great.

Know what you mean Dezzas ... sometimes it is easier to get someone else to do the fidgety bits ... for me I know my limitations when it comes to bike building , sadly I wasted my youth on partying instead of picking up some skills like welding or electrical work .

It`s my money so as long as I`m not going into crazy debt or not paying bills or whatever then I reckon I earned it I`m going to enjoy spending it , Lol ... I`ve spent a few dollars down at Heavy Duty myself ... Shane and Simon seem to be nice guys .

havent posted in a while. am back in town, was away a while. couple of things to do. remove stirrups from widow pegs and change its mounts which i have ready....coz current mounts with stirrups wont work without stirrups. stirrups are largely a waste of time for regular rides, no need for it, perhaps for an interstate ride could be useful. Got to flush out brake fluid and replace, rear is still from the US must be old. install a couple of SpeedBleeders as part of the job.

couple items may be of interest to some, still up for sale on ebay http://www.ebay.com.au/sch/busa4u/m.html?_nkw=&_armrs=1&_from=&_ipg=
