Hey Volvi ... your worse than me , Lol ... it`s fun though as long as your wallet doesn't run dry .

Don`t reckon you can go wrong with M & M but be careful of difference in the dollar at the moment and if dealing with other over seas people make sure you do your research first .

I have found a lot of places on the net have a very big variance in shipping cost and of course be aware if buying stuff over a $1000 then there will be a extra tax attached by the Australian Government .

Have fun with your new pride and joy and most of all get out there and enjoy the open road ... cheers ... Tim .

I have the smooth wheel option too mate, my front spokes are brown. I gave up fighting the rust, I will get them re-spoked with stainless soon. Just had to fork out $800 in repairs for the clutch and inner primary bearing. You didn't mess around buying bits did you. Look forward to the photos when you get them up.

Im surprised to hear that Hooky re front rims going rusty especially on the smooth wheel. No signs of any yet on mine but will keep an eye on it and try preventative medicine. If that happened I reckon i might go to a mag front making it tubeless. yea bikes uh lookin shmick. doing grips atm, not inclined to go for usual footpeg stuff, kinda like the oem look. next job installing the alarm chirp, not looking forward to it as buried in the bowels of the bike (front of rear mudguard) anyone done it appreciate any tips.

re grips, whats Graphite that they say to lube handlebar under throttle grip? installed grips but not that happy with fit ie feel a notch on turn of throttle grip. gonna re-visit.

    Thx Rocky.

No Huff and Puff to answer to .. Lol .. you are one lucky man ... although I must admit to being one of those lucky males that has a understanding missus ... she loves going for bike rides , actually gives me a hard time if we don't go for one on the week ends she doesn't have her daughter ... and now that I am awfully close to finishing my 2008 T.C. project I am just about to embark on my next one .

A 1999 Softail Springer that is going to be stripped back to a Bobber style when finished , hopefully early to mid January ... or February , Lol , can't rush these things now can we ... I`m a glutton for stress punishment ... Lol ... I think the 64 EH Holden and old 77 Kawa projects will just have to take a back seat for awhile yet .

Enjoy the feeling the new ride gives ya ... and if you are ever up South East Queensland way be sure to steer clear of the Gold Coast ... not the best place to be at the moment if you are a Harley Rider ... Tim .

A couple of additions to the bike, herewith with pics. Awaiting Footpegs, Shifter Peg, Brake Pad and a few other nicies from the states, will post pics when installed.

Skull Leather Console Extension (gone is that 'orrible piece of plastic).

Vivid Black Console Insert (I marked the console and wanted to cover it up, yet still keeping to traditional Black look)

Nice bike, those tacho speedo's look good. The spokes will rust, its just a matter of time, quickest cure is to get some aluminium foil, dip it in water and rub it over the spokes, instant shine!

Yes TJ, page 759/F of the '13 catalogues, looks shmick but more so in the shade as in the sun the plastic mould is more noticeable.

perhaps if i keep the spokes well waxed up they will hold. Im currently using the US Purple.(i think its called or California purple)

Also just back couple of hours ago from a 2400 klm. round trip to Sydney and back. Up the Hume to Thredbo, then Bondi, then Princess to Eden and now finally back home. Reckoned the bike needed a good run and wanted to do it whilst still under 3 month warranty. Bike handled really well, no wallowing as some have reported. Only thing shit me was some strong bumps that jerked my spine. As someone once mentioned the aftermarket seat will help about 80% but them are still the same shockers. Hey and not 1 bolt loosened or fell off lol, reckon they make Harleys alot better these days.

Initially bought a Bobtail rack for the bike but didnt like it, to small and you have to bastardise your Tri Led light with an extra costing bracket and was so small you really couldnt put anything on it. Returned it and used my Ogio backpack which rested on the rear bib, straps over my shoulders, no marks. Pleased I did the trip reckon I did the bike a world of good, wouldnt have done much in the USA with 1700 miles over 4 years. Now with just over 6k's may change the oil, Red Line anyone? or Mobil V Twin?

PS. Expecting some goodies soon from cruisercustomizing in USA this week or next, Footpegs, Shifter, Brake pedal, Chrome Skel.Mirrors, Skull fender Ornament, New Khrome Werks Drag Bar, and Clymers workshop manual, I prefer doing all my own work where possible.

    yeah ditto there dave.

update; have installed kuryakyn chrome skeleton mirrors as a try out. I still prefer the original chrome mirrors look but have to say the skel. has better rear vision. in fact the harley rear view is pretty poor, they just dont extend out far enough and its the extended arms. will load pics when have updated footpegs done.

Ok received and installed new chrome handlebar, footpegs, brake pedal, shifter and skeleton mirrors. The jury is still out on the pegs and mirrors.

Kuryakyn Extended Brake Pedal and Drag Specialties Hotop Footpeg.

    Krome Werks Drag Bar

    Kuryakyn Chrome Skeleton Mirrors.

    Scissor Jack from Radium

Red Line oils ready for service.

Body accessories pretty much done and dusted. Still not convinced on the footpegs and shifter and whether the brake pedal may extend too far to interfere with the foot resting. Time will tell. Happy with the new handlebar, no more yellow tint, all chrome now even. Skeleton mirrors still experimental, I prefer the clean look of the OEM Chrome Tapered mirrors but rear visibility on them are pretty poor even with the longer stems. But the Skel.mirror rear view are excellent.

Next project Air filter. It has a stage 1 Harley basic setup, filter is Harley dry but someone has sprayed oil on it thinking its a K&N, mesh looks K&N but stamp says Harley. I like the standard oval cover look but am not convinced they allow much air-flow. Am currently looking at V&H Drak system which wud kinda match the pipes. Also Kuryakyn's Pro-R Hypercharger but looks bulky and may be too bulky sticking out like a sore thumb, but reckon they suck in the air well. I note their installation is more then others by removing tank and modifying throttle body, which Im a bit wary of. And when thats all sorted will probably look into the Power Vision unit with map from Fuelmotousa. I currently am running the V&H Fuel Pack which Im not sure does much.
